This course will provide course participants with ideas for planning, creating, and implementing gamified activities and competitive learning that promote student collaboration and engagement. In this course, participants will learn about the benefits of gamification on one hand, but also about the drawbacks and challenges and effective teaching strategies that can be used to overcome them!
Teachers will gain tools for managing individual, pair, group, team, and whole-class participation to facilitate active interaction and acquiring both knowledge and skills. No prior knowledge about those specific topics is required from participants.

- Acquire, reflect, refresh knowledge about gamification and competitive learning
- Exchange reflections and practices, share difficulties and solutions with colleagues;
- Experience concrete activities (competitive games, Knowledge Olympic games, Escape Classroom), which can be replicated in the classroom;
- Construct taylor-made activities for students using those methods, based on the specific learning goals of the subject or subjects.

Profesorka engleskog jezika Milica Aleksić diplomirala je na Filološkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu, smer Engleski jezik i književnost Iskustvo u pedagoškom radu stekla je u više privatnih škola kroz podučavanje dece i odraslih. Posebnu pažnju posvećuje stilovima učenja i razvijanju materijala i kurseva sa posebnim fokusom na komunikacione veštine i praktičnu upotrebu jezika.

- Introducing the concept of Knowledge Olympic games
- Recognising different students skills and intelligences and leveraging these to show team capabilities
- Creating interdisciplinary games that celebrate students’ knowhow and skills
- Best practice ideas of interdisciplinary games including ICT, board games and other props
- Workshop: Create ICT Project Competition
Day 4 - Učenje koncepta Escape rooms
- Escape rooms concept
- Using our problem-solving techniques to solve puzzles
- Teaching students to work in teams
- Non- linearity of the tasks given
